My name is Donna and I am a wife of 10 years and mother to three amazingly gorgeous girls. To tell you about what I do now, I need to give you some back story.
My first daughter was born emergently at 37/5 weeks gestation. I apparently had peri-partum necrotizing pancreatitis. Sounds scary right? It was about as much fun as it sounds. I spent 22 days in the hospital between ICU and Intermediate Care after her birth. My daughter was almost a month old before I came home to be with her. Its not natural for a baby to leave the hospital before her mother. Today she is a wonderfully rambunctious spirited red head. She's amazing.
I worked full time in a job that was less than desirable with even less desirable people. Most of my co workers were self centered gossip talkers. Really not my cup of tea. Speaking of tea, I could really drink a cup!
I was at that job for 12 years! That's a long time. When I got pregnant a second time we had no idea just how life changing it would be.
Our second pregnancy blessed us with babies two and three! That's right, twins. And not any twins, Monoamniotic/Monochorionic twins. These amazingly rare miracles happen in 1% of twin pregnancies. More details on MoMo twins will be posted later.
Our twins were delivered extremely emergently at 27/0 weeks gestation. This time my babies did not beat me home. They spent 110 and 112 very long days in the NICU before coming home. Its not natural to leave your babies behind in the hospital.
While I was tending to my little miracles in NICU my employer asked for my resignation. Thus, I joined the ranks of the Stay At Home Mom's. I am proud to be one, that does NOT mean that its easy. It was far easier to work my mundane desk job that I hated!
After a few months of getting into a routine with two infants, I had an intense urge to do something constructive to keep myself busy. Baking was no longer an option...our waistlines were crying! So, I had this hairbrained idea to start my own business! Hence where the Entrepreneur comes from.
I can't wait to elaborate on these points in the coming weeks and months with you.
